INSTRUCTIVO PARA LA REALIZACIÓN DE POSTERS DIGITALES



1. Se deberá realizar en una sola diapositiva de PowerPoint® en formato 16:9, vertical. Para lo cual:

a. Abra Power Point® y entre en la pestaña de Diseño.

b. Luego entrar en Configurar página.

c. En “Tamaño de Diapositiva” elegir la opción que dice Presentación en Pantalla 16:9

d. En el mismo cuadro, en el sector “Orientación” elegir Vertical o directamente escribir el tamaño: Ancho: 14,29 cm y Alto: 25,4 cm.

e. Aceptar y comenzar con la presentación

2. Utilizar fuentes (tipografía) estándar, que sean claras para facilitar la lectura y de color contrastante con el fondo, preferentemente liso

3. El título debe estar en mayúsculas y negrita. Para el resto del texto, usar un tamaño de letra mayor a 9 puntos.

4. Para las imágenes use el comando “insertar imagen desde archivo”. Evite copiar y pegar, pues eso aumenta el tamaño de la presentación.

5. No usar animaciones ni transiciones de Power Point®

6. Colocar en el ángulo superior derecho el número de póster asignado en negrita y de mayor tamaño que el texto general.

7. Guardar el archivo con su número de poster: Por ejemplo “167” (con extensión .ppt o .pptx)

8. No se aceptarán archivos PDF

9. Deberá respetar la fecha límite para el envío del Póster Digital, es importante recibir el material con anticipación para editarlo, si fuese necesario, y agregarlos al software. Por tal motivo de no enviar el archivo antes de fecha designada, el mismo no se incluirá en la exposición.

CREATING AND DESIGNING YOUR E-POSTER

General Setup

You must design your E-Poster in PowerPoint (PPT or PPTX) without exception,
All poster display monitors will be set in Power Point ONLY, in portrait style orientation (i.e. “vertical orientation”) and all information (i.e. text, data, photos, videos and figures) must be designed to appear within up to FOUR (4) slides.
Use Page Setup and choose “On-screen Show (16:9)” with a Portrait orientation. Alternatively, you can use the PPT template attached.
All E-Posters will be displayed in portrait orientation (i.e. vertical) with 16:9 proportions.

1. Fonts and Sizes
As your poster, will be viewed on 42”-60” floor-mounted monitors, you need to use large typefaces for proper legibility. It is also recommended that you avoid large blocks of detailed text since these can be difficult to read.
However, the choice of font should be one of the standard Windows fonts such as those listed below: Arial / Arial Black, Calibri, Comic Sans MS, Courier New, Impact, Lucida Console / Lucida Sans Unicode, Tahoma, Trebuchet MS, Verdana

File Size: the maximum file size is 4 Megabytes (4MB)

2. Essential Information to Include on E-Poster

Title of the E-Poster
Names and affiliations of all authors
Introduction and Learning objective(s)
Results including Conclusions/Key Messages
Declaration of Conflict of Interest for all authors; if there are no relevant conflicts, this must be included on the poster.
Contact details (optional), so that interested delegates may contact you
Data must be given in units that are generally accepted in scientific publications (international metric system is preferred)

3. Images

You may use any image formats that PowerPoint will accept, but please ensure the size is kept to a reasonable limit. If it is too large, please subsample or crop the image. Lowering the resolution is a possibility.

4. Videos
You can insert up to two (2) videos.
You may use any video formats that PowerPoint 2016 will accept encrusted, not linked.
It must be play automatically and repeat up to end the slide.
Maximum time accepted: 15 seconds for each video.
Recommended maximum values for the good operation of the video:
High of Frame: 1024
Frame Width: 768
Data rate: 884kbps
Total Bit Rate: 937
Frame Rate: 11 frames / second
You will inevitably have to upload the video along with the poster under the name "24A.mp4", for example, 24 corresponding to the assigned poster number and A or B according to the first or second video.

5. Items Prohibited on E-Posters
Not permitted: it is NOT permitted to include transitions on your E-Poster.
Not permitted: Video files that cannot be embedded in Power Point.
Not permitted: it is NOT permitted to include an industry logo on your E-poster (i.e. commercial company logo). The name of the company should be included where relevant.
Note: Drugs, devices, products, and services should be identified by generic name only within the poster, with the single exception that the trade or commercial name can be used ONCE in brackets, but only after the generic name, i.e. “generic name (trade name®)”.
